Production Process

Our goldsmith created a "mother" model from which he made a rubber mould. This is used to take waxen models. The latter are dipped in liquid gypsum, then fired in a kiln where the wax is vapourised leaving the mould for the silver pour.

When the silver is solid, the gypsum covering is removed in a tumbler. The final step is polishing.  Gold-plated items are first plated with 24 ct, then with 14 ct gold which enhances the gold finish.
